What motivates me to get up and move? A healthy challenge that needs a solution. What allows me to get there though? Quality of life.
Culture Wise: I prefer open skeptic environments - questions encouraged. I enjoy individual focused environments - where individuals customize their working styles but synchronize for production goals. Mutual feedback is critical both up and down non-flattened enterprise organizations - nothing should be held back. Likewise, I am a fan of dress to impress (conventionally) but I am also open to business casual.
I work well with every generation, culture, and team. I do like to compete though - healthy competition get's more from a team and maximizes output! I thrive when I have autonomy - I sink when there is a class-system working environment as there is no risk/gain curve for disruption. A company cannot grow when it fails to experiment/adapt.
I am known to bring cook-offs, office break walks, mind map exercises, Website Wednesdays, and "Feel Good Fridays" to the team I am given. I enjoy monthly one on ones and when I have a team member who is wayward, I usually encourage them by making them bi-weekly, and have them shadow me - when wayward talent see's the next level of reporting, they tend to visualize it in their work. That creates a better employee or expedites their resigning.
Daily scrums take away costly mistakes, weekly priorities makes a better production schedule. Because my skill-set is constantly evolving so to is my leadership values but my core beliefs maintain. As such professional enrichment is super important to me. I am always making my teams better and increasing their own value with training, certs, and knowledge recaps.
When it comes to my own worth, I am humble, even if I am the few people in the US who can track any customer journey from multiple funnel journeys. Why waste money a lifestyle when you can have more to play with in advertising or hiring? More hands mean less work, more customers means more growth. Growth is my goal.
